<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing device capable of easily indicating a reproduction start position without reducing the degree of freedom of operating the reproduction start position and moving to the reproduction start position in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The data reproducing device provided with a dividing part 23 and a reproducing part 22 is used. The dividing part 23 generates time bar data. The reproducing part 22 outputs content data and the time bar data to a display device 2. A time bar 15 includes a time bar body, a plurality of division lines for dividing the time bar body and an icon for designating the position of one division line among the plurality of division lines. The dividing part 23 moves the icon at intervals on the basis of an operation signal from the outside.
