<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line connection control apparatus and communication card in which a line is disconnected or a connection status is changed in accordance with a transmitted/received data amount to effectively utilize a radio channel and even when the line is disconnected or the connection status is changed, convenience similar to prior arts can be secured for a user. <P>SOLUTION: In the line connection control apparatus provided at the side of an information processing terminal that controls connection of a line between the information processing terminal and a base station, an instruction part 151 performs an instruction of disconnecting the line or switching a transmission rate in accordance with a data amount transmitted/received between the information processing terminal and the base station.
