PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out three-dimensional position measurement by a frequency exceeding the number of photographing by a camera per unit time. SOLUTION: Based on a three-dimensional position of an object 2 in the previous frame and in the frame before the previous frame, the three-dimensional position of the object 2 in the latest frame is predicted by linear prediction, for example, and the predicted position is assumed as a first prediction position P*t. Then, a straight line 1<SP>1</SP><SB>t</SB>passing through the camera C1 capturing the image of the latest frame and the image coordinate (u<SP>1</SP><SB>t</SB>, v<SP>1</SP><SB>t</SB>) is found. The straight line 1<SP>1</SP><SB>t</SB>represents a straight line, on which the object 2 exists actually. When a point on the straight line 1<SP>1</SP><SB>t</SB>nearest from the first prediction position P*t is found, the three-dimensional position of the object 2 can be found precisely.
