PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertically slidable opening and closing door enabling an opening and closing door to be post-mounted thereon vertically slidably relative to a forwardly opening hung cabinet body and enabling an existing hung cabinet body to be used without any modification. SOLUTION: This vertically slidable opening and closing door comprises a pair of right and left door rails fitted to the front end sides of both side plates 2a of the hung cabinet body 2 opened in the forward F side thereof, an opening and closing door 3 vertically slidably mounted between the door rails and opening and closing the forward opening of the hung cabinet body 2, a pair of right and left weight sliding rails mounted at the rear ends of both side plates 2a, a weight vertically slidably fitted between the weight sliding rails and keeping a balance with the opening and closing door 3, and a wire joining the opening and closing door 3 to the weight and stretched across the upper ends of both side plates 2a.
