PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorbency resin particles exhibiting a high absorbing performance (in absorbing amount and absorbing rate) in any state and capable of being used as an absorbency article hardly causing leak. SOLUTION: The absorbency resin particles containing (A) a crosslinked polymer consisting of (a1) a water soluble vinyl monomer and/or (a2) a vinyl monomer capable of becoming the (a1) by hydrolysis and (b) an inner crosslinking agent as essential components, and (C) a hydrophobic substance, is characterized by having a structure of containing a part of or whole of the (C) in the absorbency resin particles.
