PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimension gauging apparatus for an elevator enabling a worker to perform easy and safe measuring work and to grasp the shape of the whole elevator. SOLUTION: This dimension measuring apparatus 11 is disposed on a car 15 lifting up and down inside the shaft 13, and comprises: a laser generator 19 for horizontally applying laser toward the inside of the shaft 13; a digital camera 21 for photographing the inside of the shaft 13 irradiated by laser from the laser generator 19; and a computer 23 for deriving respective dimensions in the shaft 13 by processing image data photographed by the digital camera 21.
