PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply contamination prevention with durability onto a surface of a plate material in a contamination prevention method for the surface of a construction plate such as an external wall material. SOLUTION: In the contamination prevention method, the surface of the plate material is coated with a coating material to form a coating film and the coating film is coated with a contamination prevention agent dispersed with a silica fine particle from above in the state where the coating film is in the half-cured state. According to this the silica fine particle of the contamination prevention agent is slightly sunk into the coating film in the half-cured state and deposition force of the formed contamination prevention layer relative to the coating film is enhanced.
