<p>The transceiver unit (1) has respective attenuators (5,6) for the transmission and reception paths (2,3) and a calibration device (7) for operation of switching devices (9,8) associated with the attenuators. A test signal is transmitted in the calibration operating mode and fed back to the reception path, the received signal subjected to spectral analysis for indication of individual fault sources in the transmission and reception paths, with corresponding adjustment of the attenuation parameters. An independent claim for a method for reducing the non-linearity in the output signals from a transceiver unit is also included.</p> |
