<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent variation in light spot profile due to variation in driving current of a light emitting element in a light source device comprising a GaN based semiconductor light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device comprising a GaN based semiconductor light emitting element 20 is provided with a space filter 23, e.g. a slit plate, for preventing variation in light spot profile due to generation of stray light by removing stray light which becomes 20% or less of the total output under maximum output of the semiconductor light emitting element 20 from the light 21 emitted therefrom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
