<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an insect-trapping function to catch harmful insects in an illumination space without damaging the appearance and without changing the atmosphere of the illumination space in an illumination fixture illuminating inside of sitting rooms, such as residence. <P>SOLUTION: A ceiling light 1 is a lighting fixture to be used by being mounted on a ceiling, and is provided with a fluorescent lamp 3 which is a light source, a globe 4 which is a translucent member to transmit the light from the fluorescent lamp 3, and an insect-trapping part 5 to trap the insects to be attracted into the light from the fluorescent lamp 3. The insect-trapping part 5 is installed at a mounting face 21 side of the ceiling light 1 to the ceiling, and insect-attracting ability of the light transmitted through the insect-trapping part 5 is higher than the one of the light transmitted through the globe 4. Insects flying in the vicinity of the ceiling light 1 are attracted more by the light transmitted through the insect-trapping part 5 than by the light transmitted through the globe 4, and attracted to the insect-trapping part 5. The insects attracted to the insect-trapping part 5 are caught in the insect-trapping part 5 by letting them invade into the insect-trapping part 5 from an opening part 51 of the insect-trapping part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
