<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of interference of signals in communication conducted by using a back scatter system. <P>SOLUTION: A part 112 for intermittently generating the CW of a reader/writer 11 intermittently generates a nonmodulated radio signal. An RF transmission processor 51 transmits the nonmodulated radio signal. The reflecting modulator 92 of a tag 12 applies reflecting modulation to the nonmodulated radio signal and outputs the reflected modulated signal to a delay element 121. The delay element 121 transmits the reflected modulated signal. An RF reception processor 52 of the reader/writer 11 receives the reflected modulated signal during turning off of the intermittent non-modulated radio signal.
