<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that accurately provides a track record of printing actually performed by reading images from a recording medium such as a memory card. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system is structured so as to prepare the information of a track record of printing the images in the printing device 36 as a file (printing tack record file) different from an image file when an image file is read from a memory card 39 and images are printed by the printing device 36 and stored in the memory card 39. When the printing track record file is stored in the memory card 39, a monitor 33 displays the printing track record information.
