METHOD OF OPERATING DISCHARGE LAMP SYSTEM AND DISCHARGE LAMP SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operating method of a discharge lamp system with vertical segregation of a vapor phase kind lowered so as to enable to more easily excite a synthetic acoustic mode than in the case of a conventional technique. SOLUTION: A lamp power is modulated with an arc linearization frequency and a frequency exciting a lamp's diameter direction + longitudinal direction synthetic acoustic mode.
