PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film single magnetic pole magnetic head which can make a recorded magnetic field sharp and secure sufficient recording magnetic field intensity. SOLUTION: The thin-film single magnetic pole magnetic head 10 is formed by laminating on a substrate 1 a main magnetic pole 4 formed in a thin film form by a soft magnetic body, a coil 3 formed in a thin film form by a conductive body and an auxiliary yoke 5 formed in a thin film form by the soft magnetic body via an insulating layer 6. At least a part of the coil 3 is arranged on the downstream side of the main magnetic pole 4 in the rotational direction of a magnetic disk, and the auxiliary york 5 is arranged on the further downstream side to form the magnetic head 10.
