PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for registering and managing a reservation to purchase a product from a vending machine conveniently and efficiently. SOLUTION: A vending machine 100 registers a reservation to purchase a plurality of items dispensed by the vending machine. The reservation includes a reservation to a quantity of the items to be purchased and an expiry date. The vending machine 100 receives display of payment to the reservation and a request for registering the reservation to which discount has been applied every unit of item.
