PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate synchronization in development iteration of an application program interface (API) module. SOLUTION: A utility program 330 for software development generates a synchronized set of translation modules 340 for application program interfaces in an emulated platform. The utility creates the translation modules 340 from iterative function templates 351 having generalized function code, exception templates 352 with special-purpose code, and types templates 353 for converting data types from the emulated platform.
