PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always stably switch picture signals by sharing EDID data of an output side at an input side in a signal switching device. SOLUTION: A CPU 23 of a switching device 20 records the EDID data of a display 10 in nonvolatile memories 21 and 22. Computers 30 and 31 can share data with the switching device 20 being the virtual display 10 by acquiring the EDID data from the nonvolatile memories 21 and 22, respectively.
