PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive emergency vehicle approach warning system for urging the driver of a general vehicle to visually pay attention to the fact that an emergency vehicle which is authorized to pass a road first is approaching an intersection to validly inform the driver of the general vehicle that the emergency vehicle is approaching the intersection. SOLUTION: The emergency vehicle 3 receives a GPS signal to know its own location while it is traveling, and transmits the location data. The display boards 22a, 22b, 22c and 22d are provided with a display controller for controlling the display of the display boards, and the display controller is configured to receive the location data transmitted from the emergency vehicle, and display that the emergency vehicle 3 is approaching an intersection 1 to the driver of a general vehicle on the display boards 2 in such a timing that the emergency vehicle 3 is approaching the intersection 1 within a predetermined distance L (for example, 100m).
