PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent the tumble of an apparatus when shaken by earthquake or the like even if the apparatus has a large weight, and to allow easy installation thereof. SOLUTION: A tumbleproof device has a position control mechanism 20 liftably supported on the rear side of a base plate. The position control mechanism 20 includes a fixed shaft 21 attached on the rear side of a plate structure, a movable shaft 24 reciprocatingly moved relative to the fixed shaft 21, a lifting link portion liftably connected between the fixed shaft 21 and the movable shaft 24 following the reciprocating movement of the movable shaft 24 relative to the fixed shaft 21, a coil spring 31 interposed between the fixed shaft 21 and the movable shaft 24 and upwardly urging the lifting link portion, and a stopper body 34 for stopping the movable shaft 24 at a retraction position.
