PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump gate device capable of draining even when electric power can not be secured because of an electric power failure due to overflow or the like of a river. SOLUTION: The present pump gate device is constituted of a cut off gate 3 having freely openable/closable door body 4 by an opening/closing means 7, a draining pump 10 installed in the door body 4 to drain water in a branch river 2 side to the main river 1 side, a hydraulic pressure motor 20 installed upward the cut off gate 3 to drive the draining pump 10 through a drive shaft 15 and a power transmission means 13, a power source 22 formed of an internal combustion engine installed on the land near the cut off gate 3, and a hydraulic pump 23 driven by the power source 22 and supplying the delivered pressure to the hydraulic pressure motor 20. In this way, even when electric power can not secured due to power failure caused by overflow of river water, the draining pump 10 can be driven by the hydraulic pressure motor 20 to forcibly drain water in the branch river 2 side to the main river 1 side.
