PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device suitable for a crescent being an opening and closing tool of, for example, a sash window, eliminating the problem in use and safety by a conventional double lock mechanism and key operation by controlling opening and closing of the crescent by button operation for inputting identification information, allowing the opening and closing of the crescent only for a true user, strengthening protective capacity of the crescent, securing safety in use, and reducing the size and weight. SOLUTION: This locking device has operation buttons 78 and 79 capable of setting and inputting the identification information, and has a button lock part 7 capable of locking and unlocking operation via pressing operation of the operation buttons 78 and 79. The locking device has a locking control part 50 operable by linking with the locking and unlocking operation of the button lock part 7. The operation buttons 78 and 79 can set a plurality of mutually different identification information in response to a pressing frequency. The locking control part 50 is movably arranged on a plane.
