PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network transmitter/receiver capable of reducing total cost by decreasing the number of devices in a network system requiring transmission/reception of a plurality of video images.

SOLUTION: The network transmitter/receiver incorporating a network interface section 5 is further provided with an image compressing section 3 for transmitting an analog input signal to the network interface section 5 while compressing, and an image decompressing section 6 for converting compression data received from the network interface section 5 into analog signals through decompression.
