PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer ink sheet and a thermal transfer image receiving sheet capable of using rough papers such as high quality papers or the like as a body to be transferred without causing a problem in carrying properties and excellent in a light resistance of a thermal transfer image forming article, and to provide a thermal transfer image forming method and a thermal transfer image forming article.

SOLUTION: The thermal transfer image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer on a support is characterized in that the sheet contains a titanium coupling agent in the outermost layer. The thermal transfer ink sheet which has an ink layer on the support and can transfer the ink layer of a heating portion to the body to be transferred by bringing the ink layer and the body to be in a close contact with each other to be heated imagewise, is characterized in that the sheet contains a titanium coupling agent in the outer-most layer.
