PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a high-quality round bar without using a die in excellent production efficiency, because problems of short forming time and restriction in the selection of resins according to the properties such as heat resistance are present, since the round bar of the glass filament-reinforced synthetic resin is formed by heating and pressurizing a forming material while extruding the material through the die and moving the material. SOLUTION: The forming material covered with a heat-shrinkable film or cloth and previously formed into a round bar shape is heated to form the material into the round bar shape by utilizing the shrinkage force caused by the heating. The heating is carried out in a steel pipe by using a compressed gas as a heating medium to provide a high-quality round bar.
