PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an efficient use of a movable X-ray detector unit. SOLUTION: X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7 transmit X rays in an active functioning condition and detector storing units 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 to store the movable X-ray detector units 25 and 26 are attached to the X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7. The X rays radiated from the X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7 which are put in the active functioning condition for an X-ray image production are detected by the movable X-ray detector units 25 and 26 which exist in the detector storing units 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 attached to the X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7 in the active condition. The movable X-ray detector units 25 and 26 are positioned so as to exist in the detector storing units 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 attached to the X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7 in the active condition in relation to the functioning condition of the X-ray radiating units 5, 6 and 7, and the present positions of the locations of the movable X-ray detector units 25 and 26 are automatically acquired by a position detecting unit.
