PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a ground pressure between a foundation and a bearing ground for using the foundation of an existing structure, according to which a possibility of using the foundation of the existing structure, for example, whether the foundation of the existing structure can be directly reused for rebuilding or extension or not, is checked by actually measuring the ground pressure of the bearing ground underneath the foundation on site. SOLUTION: A foundation slab 1a, which is directly above the bearing ground 3 for the existing structure 10, is used as a loading plate 5. A load meter 6, a displacement meter 7, and a jack 8 for the loading test, which is almost erected, are set on the foundation slab 1a, so that a reaction force in the loading test acts on a beam or a slab of the existing structure 10. The method includes a step of executing the loading test, according to which the jack 8 is driven to depress the center of the foundation slab 1a and a correlation between a load by the depression and a deformation of the slab 1a is calculated, and a step of measuring the presence or nonpresence of contact between the foundation slab 1a and the bearing ground 3 and the size of the ground pressure between them by comparing a precalculated correlation between a load on the foundation slab 1a and its deformation with the correlation calculated at the loading test.
