PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skewered food cooking apparatus and a food holding member heating and cooking a food material by effectively using the heat from a heating means. SOLUTION: This skewered food cooking apparatus, as a substitute for a conventional cooking apparatus for cooking skewered food constituted by the food material and a skewer skewering the food material, is provided with an apparatus body having a wall member forming a cooking space maintained within the food material during cooking, a heater provided in such a manner that a heat-emitting section is positioned at an upper part of the cooking space, and a food holding mechanism for positioning the food material downwards from the heat-emitting section and being capable of holding horizontally laid skewers in a manner enabling free rotation about a center axis of the skewers.
