<p>A jig for cutting preset lengths from a profile strip, e.g. for cutting glazing bars for a door or window, has a support rail (6) with one fixed end stop (2) at one en and a movable end stop (3) on a sliding mount at the other end. The sliding mount includes a lever operated locking catch to secure the sliding stop onto the support rail. The jig is positioned across the space (C) to be glazed and the sliding stop locked against one side of the space. The jig is transferred to a mitre saw to enable the operator to cut accurate lengths of glazing bar, without measurement.</p> |
