An exhaust gas purification device of an engine, comprising an NOx reduction catalyst disposed in an engine exhaust pipe and reducing, for purification, NOx with ammonia generated from an urea solution, and an injection nozzle injecting/supplying the urea solution to the exhaust gas upstream side of the NOx reduction catalyst. A hydrolytic catalyst promoting hydrolytic reaction for generating ammonia from the urea solution is applied to at least one of the inner passage of the injection nozzle, the exhaust pipe positioned between the injection nozzle and the reduction catalyst, and a diffusion plate diffusing exhaust gas between the injection nozzle and the reduction catalyst. Thus, the deposition of urea in the exhaust pipe can be suppressed by promoting the hydrolytic reaction of the urea solution in contact with the hydrolytic catalyst.
