<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device effective for sampling and preparing a tissue sample. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises an outside tube with a substantially opened distal end adapted to be disposed on the surface of the tissue so that the sealing is formed on the surface of the tissue, and a shaft disposed to be rotatable inside the outside tube. The shaft can be moved between a first base end position where the shaft is completely inside the outside tube and a second base end position where part of the tip of the shaft is extended into the opening of the outside tube. The device also comprises a tissue sampling tip formed at the tip of the shaft, effective for excising a tissue sample when the shaft is moved to the tip position, and a chopping member connected to the shaft on the base end side of the tissue sampling tip.
