<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of properly controlling the temperature of a filter by using a heat pipe. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device burns collected PM by the catalyst action, by collecting the PM included in exhaust gas of an engine to the filter 25. The exhaust emission control device has the heat pipe 40 having a first heat exchange part 41 interposed in an exhaust passage 15, and radiating heat to the exhaust gas turning to the filter 25, a second heat exchange part 42 interposed in the exhaust passage 15 on the upstream side of this first heat exchange part 41, and heated by the exhaust gas, and a third heat exchange part 43 for urging the heat radiation. The device has a heat pipe control valve 44 for switching communication of the second heat exchange part 42 and the third heat exchange part 43 to the first heat exchange part 41, and has a control unit 20 for adjusting the temperature of the filter 25, by controlling operation of this heat pipe control valve 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
