CARBON NANOTUBE STRUCTURE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TRANSISTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a carbon nanotube to a prescribed position of a base. SOLUTION: After a carbon nanotube 107 is made soluble in a water system solvent by an interface active agent, it is fractionated by gel electrophoresis. After a carbon nanotube 107 incorporated in a prescribed fraction is subjected to acid and ultrasonic treatment and its end is carboxylated, biotin 109 is modified by using a carboxyl group. The biotin 109 is modified in the surface of a metallic film 105 formed in the surface of a substrate 103. A carbon nanotube 113 and a biotinized substrate 115 which are obtained are connected by specific interaction between biotin 109 and avidin 111. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
