PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus in which "real time" price setting enables a user to further perform more complicated negotiation transactions such as auction, barter or exchange transactions directly in real time between the user and a supplier apparatus. SOLUTION: In a communication network, a user apparatus is provided with a selecting device (12) for communicating with the pricing device (20) of a service provider apparatus. When communication or other services are required, the selecting circuit (12) polls a plurality of service providers, and the pricing circuit (20) of each service provider generates a price signal indicating the level of price for the service thereof.
