PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device equipped with a coating application mechanism capable of stably lowering a coefficient of frictionμof an image carrier etc., by always compensating a coating weight by a lubricant in a specified amount even in a region where input toner is present much more than in other regions, and to provide a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus, and toner used for the same. SOLUTION: The cleaning device has the coating application mechanism 20 arranged, which has a brush roller 202 for supplying a lubricant 201 to one or more of a photoreceptor 11, an intermediate transfer belt and conveyance belt 60, the lubricant 201 and a spring 203 allowing the lubricant 201 to abut on the brush roller 202, and adjusts the amount of supply by the brush roller 202 in an axial direction.
