PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preform which is resistant to the occurrence of the disorder of fiber stitches, form collapse, etc., and easy of handling and a fiber composite material provided with the preform. SOLUTION: A fabric 10 is coated with pure water 11 and refrigerated with tension applied. The refrigerated fabric 10 is cut to manufacture fabric pieces 13. The fabric pieces 13 are laminated and sutured while being refrigerated to manufacture the preform. The refrigerated preform is set in a mold, and the mold is heated and evacuated simultaneously. The water after thawing in the mold is removed, and a resin is injected into the mold. The mold is heated to cure the resin.
