PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type thickening machine capable of promoting the draining effect of an endless belt, and reducing the clogging of the endless belt. SOLUTION: The belt type thickening machine is provided with a plurality of support plates 26a and 26b for supporting the endless belt 9 on a conveyance track 20 of sludge to be thickened from a lower side. The undersurface of the endless belt 9 is brought into sliding contact with the respective support plate 26a, 26b. The respective support plates 26a, 26b are inclined in the travel direction A of the endless belt 9 on the conveyance track 20, and disposed in a V-shape in pairs on the right and left sides.
