Method for synchronizing the internal clock of a data processing system with the local location time, whereby the data processing system has means for sending and receiving SMS messages. According to the method, the data processing system sends an SMS request for a delivery confirmation to a specific number of the mobile communications system, the time of sending of the SMS is stored in the data processing system, the SMS center returns the message with a time stamp and the difference between the time stamp and the recorded time of sending is used with a time offset to synchronize the time in the data processing system. |
