Locking/unlocking device for a two-leafed door for a vehicle, especially a pivoting sliding door for a rail vehicle, comprises a spring-loaded vertically pivoting arm (15) arranged on a support (11) at the height of a guide (7a, 7b) and equipped on its side lying opposite a pivot axis (14a) with two catch elements (15b, 15c). Each door leaf is fixed to a rolling carriage (6a, 6b) provided on its upper side with a catch recess. To lock the door leaf in the closed state the catch elements engage in a form-locking manner in the corresponding catch recesses. A pivoting spring-loaded unlocking lever (16) arranged on the support has a section facing the arm that is fixed to a functional element (17, 17a). The section of the unlocking lever facing away from the arm generates a movement force to trigger a pivoting movement. When the unlocking lever pivots in an anticlockwise direction the functional element moves below the arm and raises it to remove the catch elements from t he catch recesses. When the unlocking lever moves in the opposite direction the functional element disengages from the arm and assumes a position ready for locking.
