PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solvent which does not adversely affect global environment, excels in solubility in organic chemical substances, and reduces the influence on synthetic resins. SOLUTION: The solvent for diluting organic chemical substances contains a fluorine-containing ether represented by formula 1: R1-O-R2(R1and R2are each a 1-4C fluorine-containing alkyl group; the number of a fluorine atom present in R1and R2is≥1, respectively; and the sum of carbon atoms present in R1and R2is 3-6) as an active component.
