PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle allowing comfortableness both during roof close travel and roof open travel, in particular allowing air-conditioning control corresponding to needs of an occupant during roof open travel. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for a vehicle of an open car includes an openable and closable roof. The air conditioner has a plurality of conditioned-air blow-off ports, a plurality of conditioned-air blow-off modes m1-m8, and an air conditioning control device that has modes m2, m4, m1 and m5 corresponding to the opened state of the roof and the closed state of the roof, respectively, and can select each of the modes m2, m4, m1 and m5.
