A REST FOR A SNOOKER CUE

A rest (1) for a cue, for use in playing a game of snooker, billiards or pool on a playing table, wherein the cue rest comprises an elongated shaf (2) defining a central longitudinally extending shaft axis (4), a table engaging means (5), and an intermediate connecting means (7) connecting the table engaging means with the shaft, the intermediate connecting means being shaped for avoiding an obstruction on the table adjacent a location where the table engaging means is to engage the table. The intermediate connecting means may be of arcuate shape or of half bottle shape or any other shape suitable to avoid obstructions adjacent to a cue ball. There is further provided a means to restrain rotational movement of the intermediate connecting means about the shaft axis.
