The multi-section shaft for underwater working machines has the first end (20) of the first and second shaft section (10) constructed as a coupling pin and the second end (40) as a coupling hub. The coupling pin and coupling hub each have a guide section (22) for the guiding of the fitting movement of the coupling pin of the first shaft end into the coupling hub of the second shaft end. The guide section for the coupling pin lies in front of the coupling section (24) of the coupling pin in the entry direction, and for the coupling hub, the guide section lies after the coupling section of the hub in the entry direction.
