[Also in Divisions F2 and F4] A lamp 9 (see Division F4) for illuminating the interior of an hermetically sealed enclosure in which radio-active products are handled is carried by a hollow polythene plug 3 sealed by gaskets 5 in a passage 1 extending through the shielding wall 2 of the enclosure. The lamp is connected by a cable 10 to a male connecting member 11 which is adapted to mate with a socket 12 at the end of a hollow steel tube 13 inserted into the passage 1 through a shielding plug 15 consisting of a steel tube filled with steel bulbs of various sizes. The cable 14 leading to the socket is helically coiled and embedded in lead shot.
