Fusible polyamide compositions

A composition fusing at below 145 DEG C. comprises an alcohol soluble linear polyamide and at least 20% of urea or a urea derivative. The polyamide may be a copolymer of nylon 6 and nylon 66. The urea derivative may be ethyl urea, or thio-urea, 20-100% of other plasticizers may also be present, e.g. a mixture of o- and p-toluene sulphonamide or 2-ethylhexyl p-hydroxybenzoate. The compositions may be used for coating fabrics which may then be laminated with other fabrics by heat and pressure. In Examples are mixed by solution in aqueous methanol (1-7), by comelting (8) or by heating in the presence of water (9-11 and 13).
