An air conditioner is provided to maintain a suction panel at a predetermined position even if driving gears come out when a suction grill is opened. A suction grill(1) is installed to be free opened and shut to an air conditioner main body(100). A suction panel(2) is installed at the outside of the suction grill to be free opened and shut to suck air in. A suction grill opening detection element detects opening and shutting of the suction grill. A suction panel opening and shutting element(5) opens and shuts the suction panel according to opening and shutting of the suction grill detected by the suction grill opening detection element. The suction panel opening and shutting element includes a first driving element installed at the air conditioner main body and a second driving element installed detachably from the first driving element according to the opening and shutting of the suction grill. |
