Method and device for fastening a ceramic element in a metallic support

The method involves fitting a bush (5), made from gray cast iron having lamellar graphite, around the ceramic component (4). The ceramic component and the bush are then annealed at temperature ranging from 500 to 750 degree Celsius to cause internal oxidation of ceramic component and to permanently fix the bush to the ceramic component. The ceramic component and the bush are allowed to cool down before introducing into and secured to metallic support. An independent claim is also included for the fixing device.
