The system has an access control part (4) and an authentication element (2) which includes a communication channel (6) for exchanging a signal (2) that is modulated based on frequency shift keying. At least two receivers (8a,8b) separately receive the two frequencies (fma, fmb) representing the frequency shift keying. The receivers may have mirror-symmetric center frequencies.
