The system consists of a multiple drive component or a number of drive components and drive regulators that can be assembled with a selection of drive components to form a drive unit. Operating parameters are provided for each drive component and each drive regulator has a microcomputer unit with a memory in which the operating parameters of the components used in an assembled drive unit are read in and evaluated for controlling the components. The system consists of a multiple drive component or a number of drive components such as motors (3), gearboxes (4), couplings, brakes and similar, and drive regulators (1) that can be assembled with a selection of drive components to form a drive unit.
