<p>A ceramic composition with a good resistance to frost and other weather conditions comprises 60-70% finely ground ball clay, 9-12.5% finely ground crushed stoneware, 10-20% finely ground soda-lime glass, 5-10% finely ground calcined flint, and 5-10% finely ground Reigate sand. These constituents are made into a paste by mixing with water. The paste may then be rolled out or put into moulds. It is allowed to dry out before firing at a temperature of 1100 - 1150{C for approximately 96 hours.</p> |
