摘要 An electric power-steering device possible to control backlash is provided to eliminate or control backlash by engaging a motor-shaft driving bevel gear with a reduction gear at an optimal position through changing the position of the motor-shaft driving bevel gear at a predetermined distance in the motor-shaft direction and by changing the engaged position according to the shift in the motor-shaft direction through using a bevel gear as the reduction gear. An electric power-steering device possible to control backlash comprises a housing(110) installed at left and right side of a vehicle; an electric motor(150) installed at one side of the housing; and a ball nut(130) engaged with a motor shaft(154) of the electric motor to convert rotation of the electric motor into motion of a rack(120). In the electric power-steering device, a reduction gear installed at one side of the ball nut to be engaged with a motor-shaft driving bevel gear(158) of the electric motor is a bevel gear(131) having one side of negative electric potential and the other side of positive electric potential. An adjusting screw(162) is installed and protruded on inner and outer side of the housing correspondent with the shaft line of the motor-shaft driving bevel gear to contact on one end surface of the motor-shaft driving bevel gear and to shift in the shaft direction. When backlash occurs, the adjusting screw shifts in the shaft direction to move the contacted bevel gear in the same direction. A nut(164) is installed on the adjusting screw to change length of the adjusting screw.
